Cross Plains will continue to grow. The question is whether that growth happens thoughtfully. I support responsible development that respects our community’s character, considers traffic and infrastructure, and makes sense for the people who already call Cross Plains home.
Taxpayer money should be treated with the same care we expect people to use with their own money. I will support responsible budgeting, transparency, long-term planning, and careful evaluation of major expenditures.
My background in law enforcement and the justice system has given me a deep appreciation for the men and women who protect our communities. Cross Plains should provide our police and first responders with the support and resources necessary to keep our city safe while maintaining accountability and professionalism.
Growth places pressure on roads, utilities, public services, and other infrastructure. We need to plan ahead instead of waiting until problems become emergencies. Development decisions should take infrastructure capacity and long-term costs into account.
Small businesses are an important part of the character and economic health of Cross Plains. As a longtime small-business owner, I understand both the opportunities and challenges entrepreneurs face. City government should be a reasonable partner to businesses that invest in our community and create local opportunity.
Growth should not mean becoming indistinguishable from every rapidly developing city around us. I want to preserve the small-town character, sense of community, and quality of life that make Cross Plains different.
Citizens deserve to know what their government is doing and why. I believe in listening to residents, explaining decisions, encouraging public participation, and remembering that elected officials work for the people.
