A MESSAGE TO CROSS PLAINS

runninng
His commitment to helping local residents with legal issues has earned him a reputation as a tireless fighter and dedicated public servant.

Cross Plains is more than a place on a map. It is a community with history, character, faith, families, small businesses, neighbors who know one another, and a quality of life worth protecting.

I am running for City Commissioner because I believe our city should grow carefully, spend responsibly, support public safety, protect the character of our community, and listen to the people who actually live here.

Local government should never feel distant from the people it serves. You should know who represents you. You should be able to ask questions, raise concerns, and expect straight answers. You should also expect city leaders to remember that every dollar they spend belongs to the taxpayers.

I will bring years of experience in law enforcement, the courtroom, business, and public service to the commission. But more importantly, I will bring common sense, accountability, and a willingness to listen.

I do not believe Cross Plains needs to become something completely different in order to move forward. We can improve infrastructure, plan wisely for growth, support our police and local businesses, pursue grants and other opportunities, and still preserve the small-town character that makes people want to live here in the first place.

My commitment is simple: I will work hard, ask questions, study the issues, listen to the people, and put Cross Plains first.

I would be honored to earn your vote and the opportunity to serve this community.

WHAT I VALUE ABOUT CROSS PLAINS

The People
Cross Plains is more than a place on a map. It is families, neighbors, volunteers, business owners, first responders, educators, and people who choose to invest their time and energy in this community.

The Character
Growth does not have to mean losing what makes a community distinctive. Cross Plains can move forward while preserving the small-town character, relationships, and quality of life that brought many of us here in the first place.

The Opportunity Ahead
The decisions we make today will help determine what Cross Plains looks like years from now. With thoughtful planning, responsible leadership, and an open dialogue with residents, we can build on what works while preparing wisely for what comes next.

“We don’t have to choose between protecting what we love about Cross Plains and preparing for its future. We can do both.”
— David Ridings
